FAQs

What are the pros and cons of Ryzen 3 3520U?

The Ryzen 5 3520U is just a step higher to what Intel used to provide with its Celeron/Pentium lineup. This processor is a very basic processor and can only handle few chrome tabs and light web browsing. The architecture is outdated and the performance is sluggish considering today's requirement standards.

Can it handle games?

Speaking technically, any Windows machine can run games irrespective of the processor. However games either drop in frames or lag in processors that are not made for gaming. Gaming processors are optimised to work hand in hand with the RAM and the VRAM/ Dedicated Graphics to be able to provide the best output possible. It can handle games but not something of AAA title like a GTA V or Cyberpunk. This laptop does support games but its of not much use.

How good is the battery?

36Wh is on the lower side of the battery capacity. The overall battery capacity depends on its hardware such as screen and processor. In short, OLED screens consumer more battery than LCD IPS panels. This laptop does not come with an OLED screen and the processor is also not well optimised for battery life. For easy to moderate usage it will last approximately 4 hours which is very less considering its chassis size.

How does it perform against AMD Ryzen 3 7320U laptop?

To compare it with the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 there are quite a few noticeable differences. AMD Ryzen 3 7320U which was launched in 2022 is just a tad bit better in terms of specs on paper. Though it has same cores and threads like Ryzen 3 3250U, the former has a better compatibility with the integrated graphics card. For almost ₹10,000 INR price difference, there is a slight improvement in basic tasks such as web browsing, better handling of browser tabs and documentation. Either of the laptops are not made for moderate-heavy workloads. However, the Vivobook feels more sturdy and better packed.
